Paint Your Spirit Animal – Workshop

$150.00

Description

June 8th 10 AM -5 PM

This introductory acrylic painting class is all levels and all ages and will teach you the tools you need to create an 8×10 spirit animal painting on wood panel. While this class is beginner level, you will have the opportunity to book another session should you wish to continue progress. All supplies included. The only things you need to bring: inspiration photo (unless you plan to paint the image that I am painting which will be a surprise), lunch and a positive mindset!

Our day:

10AM – Class starts at ten AM sharp so please plan to arrive early. You are welcome to come up early or stay later and enjoy the beautiful lake. We will begin by demonstrating colored grounds as well as how to create an outline in charcoal pencil. Once the outline has been completed we will learn how to create a grisaille underpainting.

1PM – One hour break for lunch. Please bring your own lunch as we do not serve meals at the lodge however non alcoholic drinks and light snacks will be provided. You are able to continue painting through the lunch break should you wish.

2PM – 5PM After lunch we will learn about color glazing and mediums to slow down the drying time of your paint. While this stage takes many layers to create a finished painting, you will then have all of the necessary information for finishing your painting on your own time or coming back to paint with us on another painting date!

This workshop is a part of an ART WEEKEND in Oyama Lake Lodge. Combine this class with the Whimsical India Ink workshop by Yulia Tsinko on June 9th and save $50 (coupon for the second workshop will be emailed to you when you sign up for this class).
